Mechanical Department

WELCOME TO DEPARTMENT OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

The Mechanical Engineering department was established in the year 1984 right after the commencement of the institute. The intake capacity of students is 81. The department has highly qualified and experienced faculties with expertise in the areas of Manufacturing,Production,Design,Thermal Engineering, CAD/CAM .We as a department believe in making our students enriched in core engineering concepts along with exposure to the advanced cutting edge technologies employed in industries. We not only strive to make our students industry ready but also imbibe the necessary social and civic consciousness in them.

Well-equipped laboratories, a full-fledged departmental library, a workshop with all necessary infrastructures, smart classrooms to make teaching-learning an interesting process are the strength of the department. Students are also provided with knowledge about new cutting edge technologies like CNC machine, hands-on-experience on various designing software, practical on Electro-pneumatic circuits for their all-round development.

Industrial visits, Internships in various reputed companies, Guest lectures, Seminars on recent trends in Mechanical engineering, Personality development seminars, Career Guidance Programs are arranged by the department in order to make students industry ready. We also strive to foster innovation amongst the students so that they can embark on the journey of Entrepreneurship.

The Department continuously encourages their students to participate in various activities like Industry based Projects, Technical Paper presentation, Quiz Competitions, Project competitions along with placement. Along with the technical education we always promote our students to participate in extra-curricular activities. Our students participate in IEDSSA competitions, NSS Activities, Elocution & drama competitions on a regular basis.

We are proud to say that our many pass out students are working in reputed companies, automobile units & even Government departments. Some students have also started their own small scale industries.
